ImageWhat's the Chance

Students experience and master probability concepts with a lively game that features bouncing gumballs in a machine.  Given randomly chosen combinations of different color or numeric value balls, students are asked such questions as: What's the chance of getting a green ball; or getting a green and a red ball; or not getting a blue ball.

Choice of three difficulty levels to build student progress.

Easy level: Given 1 blue, 3 red, 4 green

What's the Chance of getting:

One blue ball?
One blue OR one red?
NOT one green?

Medium level: Given 2 blue, 1 red, 3 green

What's the Chance of getting:

a blue, replace it, and get a green?
one green, replace it, get a red, replace it, and get a blue?

Hard level:  Each color ball is assigned a value 1, 2, or 3.

What's the Chance of getting:

one ball, replace it, then get another whose total equals 4?
one ball, replace it, and get another, replace it and then get a third whose total equals 6?

What's the Chance can be played by one or two students or teams.  Scores are displayed upon completion and can be printed.  Ideal training for State Evaluation tests.
