Simulation of an important experiment in which students use the Dumas method to determine the molecular weight of an unknown liquid. Procedures include: finding air pressure; use of the laboratory balance; reading a thermometer and converting C to K; calculation of molecular weight, using the Ideal Gas Law. Valuable as a pre-lab or in place of the actual lab.
